The Emergency Response Training Team delivers a range of courses the NHS staff to enable them to respond effectively to major incidents.

• Emergency Response Training Pack
  These courses aim to improve the health community’s ability to respond effectively to major incidents and emergencies such as the accidental or deliberate release of chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear material.

• Emergo Application
  A one day exercise designed in real-time for A&E staff and those from other hospital departments, to train against their emergency plans and capabilities of dealing with major incidents

• HPA Health Emergency Planning Programme
  This qualification is designed to provide the knowledge and understanding necessary for individuals to participate in the development, evaluation and operation of emergency plans and to enable their employers to comply with legislation. The programme concentrates on the need for emergency management, the design and construction of emergency plans and the operation of emergency plans.

• Loggists' Training Course
  A day long course designed to give delegates a comprehensive understanding of the importance of notes and their evidential value in any post-incident legal proceedings

  A two-day training course which will train personnel who could act as STAC Chairs.
