The aim of this course is to refresh and build on the knowledge and experience that scientists developed since attending the course ‘Introduction to the principles and practices of working at ACDP Containment level 3’.
The course will revisit key aspects of the theory covered in the introductory course and provide updates. There will be opportunities to discuss application of the theory, challenges and ‘hot topics’ with experts in the field over the two day workshop.
Practical sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and experience during a range of scenarios, to include accidents and working practices. Practical work undertaken in this workshop simulates working at CL3 in a genuine CL3 laboratory, using Hazard Group 1 agents or non-toxic liquids and powders.
A course work book will provide delegates with a means of personal assessment and provide evidence of their continual personal development.
February 2014, exact dates to be confirmed. Please contact us for further information.
