Biosafety: Introduction to the Principles and Practices of Working at Containment Level 3

containment level 3 laboratory

This course gives the delegate a systematic review of the facility design, operational practices and safety management which contribute to working safely in the containment level 3 environment. The delegates meet experts in the field in both practical and lecture settings and time is scheduled for debates into best practice in Containment Laboratories.

The course can be tailored to non-microbiologists, microbiologists and those experienced in working at Containment Level 3 (CL3) but taking on a management role.

Practical work undertaken on this course simulates working at CL3 in a genuine CL3 laboratory using Hazard Group 1 agents or non-toxic liquids and powders.
