Most posts generally work to a standard 37.5 hour week. However depending upon the nature of the role some posts may require extra shifts, night work and/or international travel.
We offer a contributory final salary pension scheme which includes life assurance. You will be given the opportunity to opt in or out of this scheme. Some previous pension schemes may be transferable.

All main sites have access to restaurants. The HPA restaurants, in keeping with our values as an organisation, offer healthy options in all of their wholly owned restaurants.
A variety of activities are organised through our Sports and Social Clubs. All main sites are affiliated with the Civil Service Sports Association who arrange regional and national sports events and social occasions. A small joining fee is paid monthly by employees wishing to participate in these activities. Some HPA locations have on-site sporting facilities and organise social events.
Some sites have day nursery facilities. Where these are not available, the HPA has a Nursery Voucher Scheme.
All employees are entitled to the use of a free and confidential advisory counselling service. The EAP provides access to external, confidential support, advice and information on a range of issues, including: emotional/personal, legal, tax/financial and marital/family.
Paid and unpaid leave may be available to cover a variety of situations including emergencies. Whether it's maternity or paternity leave, or adoption leave, we offer generous assistance when it comes to special requirements.
