RPTS - Radiological Protection Training Scheme

The Radiological Protection Training Scheme (RPTS) is a development framework intended to provide an essential knowledge base for those wishing to become competent as radiological protection professionals. The Scheme will assist professionals in maintaining their skills and developing others in specific areas of radiological protection.

We provide a range of short courses established closely with industry and arranged in three modules that are designed to train radiation protection professionals. They are all classroom-based and the majority are assessed by written examination. As well as gaining knowledge through presentations and reinforcing this knowledge through participation in exercises, the courses also provide an ideal opportunity to meet people from different organisations and backgrounds. The courses provide the requisite underpinning knowledge and are not industry sector specific.
