Extended Scheme
This is particularly suited to public health laboratories. The samples are supplied with background information and require an investigative approach. Two samples are dispatched every two months. The examinations covered are Bacillus spp., Campylobacter spp., Clostridium spp., Escherichia coli O157, Listeria spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Yersinia spp., coliforms, Enterobacteriaceae, Enterococci, and Escherichia coli. All samples require an aerobic colony count (30°C) to be undertaken.
