InterAct

InterAct is a unique partnership between HPA and three other leading UK Government research organisations. It offers the opportunity for companies, with interests in acquiring new technologies to collaborate with research scientists.

These technologies can include:

• new detection methods for improving food safety,
• the development of novel vaccines and methods of delivery for human and animal health,
• probiotics for human and animal health and many other areas of research.

The partners are:

• Health Protection Agency
• Veterinary Laboratories Agency
• Defence Science and Technology Laboratory
• Food and Environment Research Agency (Fera) - previously Central Science Laboratory

InterAct Proficiency Testing Service (PT)

Health Protection Agency (HPA), Veterinary Laboratories Agency and Fera's Food Analysis and Performance Assessment Scheme (FAPAS) offer services, which are open to both public and private sector laboratories.

InterAct Lateral Flow Devices (LFD)

VLA and Fera offer a full development and validation service for LFDs from the develope of a prototype throughto full manufacture.
