FW&E Laboratory, Colindale

The HPA Specialist Microbiology Service has one FW&E Laboratory in London, based in its Colindale buildings in north London.

This laboratory provides microbiological testing services for stakeholders including local authorities, port health authorities, the NHS and commercial companies. The laboratory serves local authorities in the London area, the East of England and some of the Home Counties.

As well as the FW&E laboratories, the Specialist Microbiology Network (SMN) manages a chain of microbiology laboratories which provide clinical testing and diagnostic services to the NHS and health sector.
