Southampton Lab Services
Southampton laboratory, based in Southampton General Hospital, is the lead laboratory for the South East region and provides clinical microbiological testing services to local health trusts, the NHS and general practitioners. Southampton laboratory also hosts National Lyme Disease referral unit, and is part of the Clostridium difficile Ribotyping Network for England (CDRNE). It receives samples referred from collaborating labs for Clostridium difficile ribotyping and molecular norovirus detection.
