1 The Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 came into force on 1 January 2000, superseding the 1985 Regulations. Those involved in the use of ionising radiations must be fully aware of the regulatory requirements. These notes, issued in support of the 1985 Regulations, still provide general guidance on good practice.
