All tables present figures for cases of Legionnaires' disease in residents of England and Wales that have been reported to the National Surveillance Scheme and meet the case definitions.

• Category of Cases; Nosocomial, Travel or Community Aquired Cases, 1980 - 2008#  annual number of cases of Legionnaires' disease associated with hospitals, the community and travel abroad or in the UK.  Additionally, the annual number of cases associated with clusters or outbreaks is also stated.
  
  
• Cases by Gender and Age Group, 1990 - 2008#  annual number of males and females reported to the national surveillance scheme according to the age groups 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
  
  
• Cases by Month of Onset of Symptoms, 1980 - 2008#  annual number of cases of Legionnaires' disease by month of onset of symptoms.
  
  
• Cases by Gender and Death, 1980 - 2008#  annual number of males and females with a confirmed diagnosis of Legionnaires disease, along with the annual number of deaths.  Additionally, the sum of all travel cases per year is also cited.
