• Wound botulism cases in injecting drug users
  In 2008 there were 4 reports of suspected cases of wound botulism among IDUs, fewer than in each of the previous years, with 6 cases in 2007, 22 in 2006, 28 in 2005 and 40 in 2004 ii. By the end of 2008 a total of 144 cases had been reported since the first cases of wound botulism in injecting drug users were reported in March 2000i.
