The National Knowledge Service along with the Homeless Link has developed the following information resources for officials of hostels, shelters and day centres. One of the leaflets is aimed at hostel 'Managers' and the other at 'Staff' working in the hostels. These leaflets were developed as it was perceived that there is a need for knowledge support among the Staff and Managers of hostels for the homeless, where the incidence of tuberculosis is high.
The information resources developed for the homeless sector staff and managers by the NKS - TB in association with the Homeless Link have been piloted and evaluated. We have received evaluated completed evaluation forms from a wide range of stake holders. Both qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods were used in the analysis of responses received.
The results indicated that all users felt that the information provided was 'very good and helpful' and that appropriate range of issues was addressed. The referral pathway provided in the leaflet was particularly well received. We have revised the information resources both for the homeless sector staff and managers in the light of the results of the evaluation and the latest version is now available.
We continue to value comments on the leaflets, and would be very grateful if you would complete and return the evaluation form if you have comments on this latest version of the leaflets.
