The HPA Seroepidemiology Programme includes a laboratory arm based at HPA Manchester Lab NHS Trust (formally Preston PHL). All sera are sent to the laboratory, where they are stored, and there is also the capacity to undertake appropriate testing for markers of interest. Management and administration is at CfI (Colindale) where a database of available sera is maintained and all results are analysed and interpreted. Analysis is often carried out in conjunction with the HPA Modelling and Economics Unit.
Staff currently involved with the HPA Seroepidemiology Programme:
Dr Richard Pebody (Head) [CfI, Colindale]
Professor Elizabeth Miller [CfI, Colindale]
Professor Ray Borrow [HPA Manchester Lab]
Ms Elaine Stanford [HPA Manchester Lab]
Dr Jamie Findlow [HPA Manchester Lab]
