    As we approach Worlds Aids Day (Monday 1 December), the number of people being treated for HIV in the North East continues to rise. According to figures released today (Tuesday 25 November) by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) there was a 17 per cent increase in 2007 compared to the previous year.
