- Representatives of the Devolved Administrations (DAs)
- Chair: LARS SMT Port Health lead – appointed by LARS Director
- Meets: 3 monthly and as required
- Purpose:
- to implement the Port Health Action Plan
- to maintain an oversight of all issues impacting on port health in the HPA
- to plan and implement actions to ensure efficient and effective port health services
- to support and advise the LARS Port Health lea
- to agree and deliver an annual work programme
- to ensure an appropriate response to the IHRs within LARS
- External relationships. To maintain appropriate links to the Immigration Service, Customs and Excise, Home Office, carriers, professional groups and the DoH as appropriate
- Internal relationships. To ensure effective relationships and links with other areas of HPA activity (TB, Pandemic Influenza, International Health, Travel and Migrant Health, IHR National Focal Point…)
