EN 1276:1997 - Quantitative Suspension test (bactericidal)

Suspension tests using EN 1276 can be performed under both clean and dirty conditions.  Suggested contact times for the disinfectant are 1, 2 and 5 minutes. Test organisms include Pseudomonas aeruginosa NCTC 6749, Staphylococcus aureus NCTC 10788, Enterococcus hirae NCTC 12367 and Escherichia coli NCTC 10418 . The Biosafety Unit can also offer tests with other relevant strains such as E.coli O157, Salmonella enteritidis, S. aureus, and Listeria monocytogenes.
