HPA National Influenza Report
Reports are published weekly throughout the influenza season (October to May) with the aim of providing a timely summary, along with comments and interpretation, of clinical and virological indicators of influenza activity in the United Kingdom. Reports of influenza activity in Europe and other parts of the world arealso be included.

Surveillance of influenza and other respiratory viruses in the UK: 2010-2011 report
Following the emergence of the novel pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza virus in North America in April 2009, the first UK cases were reported on 27 April 2009. Several existing and new surveillance systems were used to investigate the first cases, to monitor the unfolding pandemic and to measure the impact and effectiveness of the various countermeasures that were implemented in the UK.
