Synopsis

This publication is a two-part leaflet set and is intended to provide information on basic concepts of radiation, explain how radiation effects people, and describe the consequences of a nuclear accident and the measures used  to protect public health in the event of an accident. These leaflets have also been combined to produce an A2-size laminated poster.

Both formats are available for purchase. Please use the  publications order form  when placing an order.  If you have any queries, please e-mail  chiltoninformationoffice@hpa.org.uk.

  • The price for bulk quantities of the leaflet set is £1 per copy plus 10% postage and packing. For UK orders of over 200 copies, the postage and packing charge is waived. Single copies are free of charge for members of the public only.

  • The price for bulk copies of the laminated poster is £7.50 per copy, which includes postage and packing. The minimum number of copies that can be purchased in one order is 10.
