A study of the radiological impact of routine atmospheric and liquid discharges from UK civil nuclear sites has been performed 1. This updates a previous report 2 in considering discharges in the mid-1990s and makes use of the most recent assessment methodology. Collective doses to the European and UK populations were calculated. In addition, doses to individuals taken to be representative of those with typical habits were estimated.
