Synopsis

This pack, for teachers, contains one each of the At-a-glance leaflets  and one copy of the Radiation wallchart.

The wallchart is A1 in size and provides a simple introduction to the nature of radiation, the origins of radiation doses, and the ways in which they are measured. There is a strong focus to the design of the wallchart in the form of a pie diagram which summarises the various sources of radiation.

Radiation was produced by an educational publisher, Hobsons Publishing plc, and prepared by teachers so that it matches the needs of the National Curriculum Attainment Target 3 (Materials and their Properties). The wallchart has worksheets printed on the reverse for teachers to photocopy before it is used as a poster. Links to the National Curriculum are clearly identified at the top of each worksheet.
