Synopsis

These A2 broadsheets are suitable for use as posters, but are conveniently folded to act as leaflets. Each covers a particular source of radiation in the workplace, mainly using illustrations and captions and avoiding technical language. Topics include:

  • Radon in the workplace: radon exposure is a substantial risk for some people in radon-prone areas. Radon is a natural, radioactive gas with no taste, smell or colour. It comes from the minute amounts of uranium present in all earth materials such as rocks, bricks and concrete. Radon is present in all buildings; levels can be very high in some workplaces and should be reduced.
