These official statistics were independently reviewed by the Office for Statistics Regulation in May 2022. The following financial year data is included in the latest annual epidemiological commentary for meticillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), meticillin susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), Escherichia coli (E. coli), Klebsiella species (Klebsiella spp.) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) bacteraemia and Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI).

From September 2022:

  • MRSA bacteraemia: April 2007 to March 2022
  • MSSA bacteraemia: April 2011 to March 2022
  • E. coli bacteraemia: April 2012 to March 2022
  • Klebsiella spp. bacteraemia: April 2017 to March 2022
  • P. aeruginosa bacteraemia: April 2017 to March 2022
  • C. difficile infection: April 2007 to March 2022
