A Steering Group for the National Registry for Radiation Workers study (NRRW-SG) has been established to discuss the use of data, enhance communications and facilitate data transfer between the data providers to the study and the Radiation Protection Division of the HPA, the managers of the study. The NRRW-SG is presently chaired by a Deputy Director of the Radiation Protection Division of the Health Protection Agency, but the Chairmanship is to be reviewed on a biennial basis. It is recognised that the current changes in the industry may lead to changes in membership of the Group in the future. It is also recognised that changes to organisational structures may result in organisational name changes. The nominated representatives of the above organisations and their legacy organisations will receive and consider proposals on behalf of their organisations.
The NRRW-SG will meet at least annually, but additional meetings will be required to facilitate the specific tasks required by the Terms of Reference. Additional meetings may be requested. The Steering Group will be acknowledged in all NRRW published reports.
