About CDR weekly
The Communicable Disease Report Weekly (CDR Weekly) is the national public health bulletin for England and Wales. Published every Thursday, it has been an exclusively electronic journal since 2001, and has been published as an open circulation bulletin from 1991 onwards.
As an open access journal, subscription to CDR Weekly is FREE. To subscribe to CDR Weekly, simply email us at <cdr@hpa.org.uk> indicating your preference for either a simple weekly email alert, or one with a PDF file attachment.
It is now comprised of two strands: a weekly digest of communicable disease and public health related related news (updated weekly)<visit: News 2005> and Infection reports, which include routine microbiological and detailed epidemiological data/infection reports <visit: Infection Reports>. The Infection reports are published on a rotating monthly schedule, and include the following disease categories:
CDR Archive material
- News archive pages for 2005 can be found at news archives 2005, with further news archive material available at More News
- Each Infection Report section has a comprehensive archive of all relevant articles and data published since 2003, Infection Report archive
- All CDR Weekly back issues from 1991 onwards are available from the back issues page.
CDR Search engine
The CDR Weekly search engine is powered by Google. It can be accessed from the left navigation panel (opposite), and is useful in searching for news items and Infection reports further back in history than is available from the current archive pages alone.
