About CDR | What is RSS
What is RSS?
CDR Weekly now offers an RSS feed for our updates. The RSS feed automatically updates with the rest of CDR Weekly, alerting you to the latest news.
RSS is generally agreed to be short for Really Simple Syndication (although it is also referred to as Rich Site Summary) . It's an XML file that can be read by special reader software or by a web service you can use from your web browser. Put the address of the RSS feed into your reader, and it will display the latest contents listing (news stories have a brief synopsis), and link that will take you to the full story.
This way you can stay in touch with many different sources of news and information automatically, , as feed readers scan for updates and display them for you.
In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.
Some browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Safari, have functionality which automatically picks up RSS feeds for you. For more details on these, please check their websites.
To view our RSS feed you need software called a feed reader or aggregator. Feed readers you could try include:

||
Mac OS X users: |
||
Web-based reader: |
Once you have installed a feed reader you can add the HPA RSS feed by clicking on the link below. Set up the news feed by either dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader.
