The primary care section of CDR Weekly is the result of a collaboration between the Royal College of General Practitioners Birmingham Research Unit (RCGP BRU) which is responsible for the Weekly Returns Service), NHS Direct, Nottingham University Division of Primary Care (which is responsible for QRESEARCH) and the HPA.

The page includes the NHS Direct Symptom Surveillance Bulletin (main trends), the NHS Direct Syndromic Surveillance Appendix A (age-group and region specific trends), the Birmingham Research Unit Summary Data on Clinical Incidence (RCGP Bulletin), and the QRESEARCH Weekly Bulletin of the HPA/Nottingham University Division of Primary Care Collaborative National Surveillance Project. All of these bulletins are updated weekly.

Usefulness of Primary Care Syndromic Surveillance Output Questionnaire

We would be very grateful for your help in completing the Usefulness of Primary Care Syndromic Surveillance Output Questionnaire 175KB . It should only take about ten minutes and will help in evaluating the usefulness of the primary care health protection outputs (NHS Direct and QRESEARCH/QFLU bulletins). We will share the results of the evaluation when completed. Please return by 24 December 2006.

Either email your response to Kathleen.Lynch@hpa.org.uk or post to Kathleen Lynch , Regional Surveillance Unit, Health Protection Agency, 9th floor, Ladywood House, 45 Stephenson Street, Birmingham B2 4DY.

For additional information about primary care surveillance visit the Primary Care Surveillance pages on the HPA website.
