- 16 March 2007: A further case of Plasmodium falciparum malaria in a UK traveller to Goa was confirmed on 14 March. All members of the party took Chloroquine Proguanil prophylaxis. Please note update to the guidance: all travellers to Goa should consider taking chemoprophylaxis to cover their stay and seek medical help immediately if malaria suspected. (Malaria guidelines )
