Sample contents:

Each sample contained a strain of S.aureus in pure culture.

Laboratory identification numbers of participants who did not return results this distribution:
441 and 884

A report summarising participants’ results and comments on performance will be dispatched within three weeks. The report may also include sample specific comments.

Repeat samplesare available for participants’ who experienced problems with the examination of these samples or failed to detect the toxins and wish to make a further attempt. There is no need to wait until you have received the report to order repeat samples.

The next distribution, Distribution STA014 will consist of two samples to be examined for Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin in May 2009.
