The Health Protection Agency's aim is to protect the health and well being of the UK population. We work to prevent and control the spread of infectious disease, reduce the adverse effects of chemical hazards, poisons and radiation, and prepare for potential or emerging threats to health.
The HPA recognises that care of the environment must be one of our core concerns. We are therefore dedicated to carrying out our activities in a manner that protects the environment and prevents pollution. This will be achieved by the implementation of a robust Environmental Management System, through which we will identify and implement environmentally responsible good practices and procedures with the aim of reducing the overall environmental impact of our activities.

This policy will be made available at all HPA business locations, on the company intranet and will be also publicly available to all interested parties.
