Expert Advice Support Office
The Expert Advice Support Office in the Corporate Affairs Division provides the co-ordination and scientific secretariat support to HPA Programme Boards.
The Office provides scientific support in the preparation of papers for Programme Boards ensuring effective distribution of information on the Boards as well as alerting and advising on cross cutting issues affecting all the programmes ensuring a minimum duplication of effort.
The Office also provides secretariat support to a number of Advisory Committees:
- The Advisory Committee on Malaria Prevention in UK Travelers
- UK Clinical Mycology Network
- The HPA Steering Group on Health Care Associated Infection
(This committee has been stood down, and has been replaced by the Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection)
- The HPA Rapid Review Panel
The Office also provides secretariat and administrative support to a number of National (Department of Health ) Scientific Advisory Committees. These are:
- The Expert Advisory Group on AIDS (EAGA)
