Sexually transmitted infection (STI) data has been collected since 1917, from Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) services across the UK. Data collection at GUM services has recently changed in England. Collection of patient-level information on STIs, the patient's area of residence and other risk factors from all patients attending GUM clinics commenced in 2009.
This STI slide set presents data collected from staff at GUM clinics in England unless otherwise stated on the slide. Data on chlamydia diagnoses from community-based settings since 2008 have also been included in some slides. The complete slide set is available for download below.
