Emergency Planning Officer's Training – Fast track
Following the success of the modular format of the Emergency Planning Officer's Training course and the continued high level of interest, the Health Protection Agency in conjunction with the Emergency Planning College are able to offer the seven modules in a condensed format over five consecutive days. This event is over five days on a residential basis, held at the Emergency Planning College .
The syllabus is based on the following parameters; a teaching day of 7½ hours, self directed evening work, compulsory pre-attendance work and compulsory post-course work.
Assessment
A certificate of attendance will be awarded after completion of all pre and post coursework.
This fast-track version of the course is compliant with the syllabus for the current series of seven, one day modules has been approved and accepted by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA) for Diploma status. On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to register on the Diploma for Health Emergency Planning (DipHEP)
Who should attend?
Those within the NHS who are responsible for preparing and ensuring the validation of their organisation's emergency plan.
What is expected of participants?
Delegates will be required to complete a pre-course assignment that should be returned to EPC before attending the course. Delegates will also be advised of the required pre-reading on confirmation of their place on the course.
During the week Modules 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 will be covered. Module 5 is a post – course module to be completed and returned to the EPC for assessment.
Participants are expected to engage fully in the interactive sessions.
