Reference services available:

• Species identification of the genus Shigella
• Serotyping of Sh. dysenteriae, Sh. flexneri and Sh. boydii
• Phage typing of Sh. sonnei
• Species identification of the genus Yersinia (including Yersinia pestis )
• Serotyping of Y. enterocolitica and Y. pseudotuberculosis
• Species identification of the genus Vibrio (including Plesiomonas shigelloides )
• V. cholerae serotyping.

Diagnostic services:

• Serodiagnosis of Y. enterocolitica and Y. pseudotuberculosis infection

• Identification and typing: Please send pure culture on nutrient agar slopes
• Serodiagnosis a minimum 200ul of serum is required.
• For all URGENT submissions, prior notification by telephone from the sending laboratory should be given.
