The HPA Contaminated Land Clarification Note Series is published in order to set out the Agency's opinion on a range of topics related to contaminated land risk assessment practices.  The documents are intended for the use of HPA staff when asked for advice on contaminated land risk assessments in order to ensure that advice given is consistent and fully justified.  Other stakeholders are, however,  welcome to make use of the series to anticipate the HPA's opinion on contaminated land issues.
