Immunisation Training Resources

Public Health England is committed to facilitating the provision of training for healthcare professionals involved in immunisation and is collaborating with colleagues in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales in this work.

The National Minimum Standards for Immunisation Training and accompanying Core Curriculum were developed by an advisory group led by the Centre for Infection’s Immunisation Department as one of a range of initiatives to support the education of those undertaking immunisation delivery at a local level. The aim of these National Standards is to ensure consistency in the training provided across the country and to aid those responsible for providing training

  This animation describes how the immune system fights infection and explains how it responds to a vaccine. It has been designed as a teaching tool for personal or classroom/lecture theatre use.
  
   

• Training Resource on Pertussis Vaccination in Pregnancy for Health Professionals
  These resources are designed to support the training of health care professionals involved in the programme to vaccinate pregnant women against pertussis and to help them provide pregnant women with evidence based information about vaccination against pertussis.
